Hi there!

I’m Christy-Lyn. People often refer to me as the harpist with the curly red hair 🙂

When I’m not performing or creating online content, you can catch me drinking tea, watching YouTube videos with a cat on my lap, hanging out with my family, or walking the dog in one of the beautiful spots around Cape Town, South Africa.

I am mostly known for passionately using the Internet to connect with people from all around the world. I just love serving the world through sincere songs that touch the heart – performing is my thing!

I work with people who are looking for their days to be brightened through authentic and uplifting music. It’s a privilege to play a role in reminding people that there is still beauty and goodness in the world and it’s possible to be transported there in an instant.

I also serve harpists who are passionate about using this instrument to impact the world positively. I love to inspire people as they pursue their dream, giving them encouragement and resources especially if they don’t have access to other harpists or teachers locally.

As a singer and harpist I have been spotlighted on The Voice South Africa (2017), where I was the first harpist to compete in this nationally televised singing competition. I have also been honoured to be chosen to present on “How to Sing and Play the Harp” as one of 25 Harp Masters from around the world at The Virtual Harp Summit (March 2017), the online international harp convention.

If you’re dying to hear more, here are four things you might not know about me:

1. I’m the middle of three sisters and they are my closest friends! We see each other almost every day, even though we no longer live together.

2. I’m trained as an Occupational Therapist, and although I loved impacting people’s lives through that work, I now feel privileged to be making a difference in people’s lives as a full time musician.

3. When I first built my YouTube channel I spent a lot of time creating a cappella videos, singing with myself and with friends internationally. Kinda nerdy, and lots of fun!!

4. I’ve been singing since I was tiny – my parents met in a music group, so there’s always been a lot of music around! There’s even a video on my YouTube channel of little 5 year-old Christy-Lyn singing Silent Night
